Summary of the summer, part 1

We have enjoyed the record warm summer and have not had time nor energy for updates, sorry. Here are some highlights and photos from our activities. Let's start backwards from June.

Finnish Whippet Club National Specialty & Open Show

World Show & Sighthound Specialty, Denmark, June 2010

In June we travelled to Denmark for a holiday and shows. The weather was lovely all the time and we spent some nice days in beautiful surroundings. First show was the sighthound specialty in Fredericia with Robert Paust, USA, judging.

Below: Nipsu (C'mere Jalokivi): EXC/1 + BOB intermediate dog, her brother C'mere Jöröjukka being BOS

At the World Show both Fjalle and Nipsu got EXC in their classes and Nipsu also made the cut among the seven best bitches in big junior class. Pippuri won the veteran bitches under Per Iversen, Norday, so becoming World Veteran Winner -10, and was chosen BOB veteran by Espen Engh, Norway. She also made the cut among the eight best veterans in the main ring under Philip John, India.
